<p>The George Washington Memorial Parkway, the Capital Beltway, Interstate 66, and the Dulles Toll Road all run through McLean. McLean is also home to many diplomats and government employees, due to the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency being located there. It is also the home of former presidential advisor and presidential candidate Pat Buchanan, as well as the location of Hickory Hill, former and current residence of the Kennedy family.</p>

<p>McLean was founded in 1910, when the communities of Lewinsville and Langley merged. The town is named after Edward Beale McLean, publisher of The Washington Post from 1916 to 1933. </p>]]></description>
